Terms of Use
Pre-release legal draft. These synchronized terms cover the Merosa application, website, early-access list, and private beta. They must be reviewed by qualified counsel before production launch.
Operator and acceptance
Merosa is operated by Jonathan Sumpter in North Carolina, United States. By creating an account, joining early access, or using Merosa, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. Do not use the service if you do not agree.
Adult eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. Merosa is built for adults using the app for themselves or to better support other people; it is not a child-directed service.
Educational support, not healthcare
Merosa provides education and self-guided tools for self-understanding, communication, routines, grounding, pattern awareness, and supporting someone else. It does not diagnose, prescribe, treat, provide therapy, replace qualified professional care, operate as a medical device, or promise health outcomes.
Emergencies
Merosa is not an emergency or crisis-monitoring service. Community posts, check-ins, and feedback are not continuously monitored. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service. In the United States, call or text 988 for crisis support.
Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify Merosa of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account unless law provides otherwise. Access may be restricted to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or preserve service integrity.
Your content and community rules
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Merosa a limited, nonexclusive license to host, process, review, moderate, display, and delete that content only as needed to operate the feature and enforce these Terms. Community posts remain hidden until human approval and may be rejected or removed.
Do not submit identifying or contact information, threats, exploitation, harassment, fundraising, unlawful material, diagnosis claims about another person, malicious code, impersonation, or attempts to move community conversations into private contact. Do not rely on community content as professional advice.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, probe security, scrape users or content, disrupt the service, evade safeguards, reverse engineer except where law permits, or use Merosa to harm, deceive, exploit, or violate another person’s rights.
Beta status and changes
Merosa is under active development. Features, cohorts, content, eligibility, storage, and availability may change, pause, or end. Early-access signup does not guarantee admission. Beta data may be reset when reasonably necessary, subject to the Privacy Notice and applicable law.
Intellectual property
Merosa branding, software, design, and original materials are owned by or licensed to the operator and protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, nontransferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.
Third-party services and sources
Merosa may link to crisis services, educational sources, or other third parties. Their content, availability, security, and privacy practices are their responsibility. Do not assume a link means endorsement of every statement or service they provide.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Merosa is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular health, legal, educational, or personal decision. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
Termination and deletion
You may stop using Merosa and schedule account deletion through the app. The operator may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security risk, legal requirements, or service closure. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by North Carolina law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. No arbitration or class-action waiver is included in this draft.
Changes and contact
Material changes will receive a new effective date and fresh consent where required. Questions may be sent to privacy@joinmindbridgeapp.com.
